In the upcoming Cricket 2011 World Cup, three countries, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka will host the event. Among the venues where the matches will be held are the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here in Bangalore.

Eden Gardens (Kolkata, India)

Eden Garden has the capacity of 80,000. It has the biggest ground in India. It has previously hosted World Cup matches in 1987 and 1996.

Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bangalore, India)

Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore has the capacity of 50,000. The stadium has also hosted World Cup matches in 1987 and 1996. The most memorable match in this venue is the quarterfinal between India and Pakistan in March, 1996.

I’m wondering whether I will be able to watch 2011 World Cup games in either of these two venues. I hope so.
