four seasons classic merlot

Last weekend, I got a bottle of Four Seasons Merlot, and I can say that it has instantly become one of my favourites. After tasting wines from other countries, there are only very few Indian wines that I drink since I always compare them to the ones I had abroad. However, with Four Seasons Merlot, the taste and aroma are basically just the same as I had.

I really enjoyed the taste specially the smoothness of the ruby red liquid, and its fruity aroma. I really loved the rich ruby red colour of the wine, actually, when in bottle, the colour is so dark. Against the light, Four Seasons Merlot is still deep red, a ruby red. Though I drank it as it is, I think it will a great pair to some spicy, rich lamb dish like rogan josh.

Four Seasons Wines has released its classic collection of wines and Merlot is one of them. Though Four Seasons Merlot is produced and bottled here in India, it has collaborated with Bouvet-Ladubay of France.

Tasting Notes: Ruby red in colour with a hint of garnet. Delicious aromas of ripe black fruits, especially plums. Medium bodied with soft tannins and a pleasant lasting finish.

Another thing that made Four Seasons Merlot my favourite is that while it is a really good wine, the wine price is only Rs650. That means I’ll be able to enjoy Four Seasons Merlot more often without making a hole in my pocket :p
